La Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación reitera su vocación conservadora

Abstract

As a society, we have witnessed the accusations made by the representatives of the executive and judicial branches. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador attributes the Court to act in a factious manner because it has insisted on hindering the transformation of the country, opposing the acceptance of the laws that have been proposed for this purpose. For its part, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation believes that as guarantor of the Constitution, it acts as a counterweight to the powers instituted to prevent the establishment of authoritarianism in the country. The truth is that the Court handles a double discourse since, for several decades, it has been at the service or the previous conservative regimes.
