Impunidad de la violencia feminicida y sexual: violencia institucional de género

Abstract

This article studies the relationship between institutional violence, gender and impunity in the case of the crime of femicide and rape. First, some aspects of the definition of impunity are analyzed and how it is linked to the notion of institutional violence contained in Mexican legislation. Secondly, some data are shown that illustrate the impunity of femicide and the crime of rape. Based on the foregoing, the existence of institutional gender violence is argued in the case of the impunity of femicide and rape, consequently, the lack of full access to public policies aimed at preventing, addressing, investigating, punishing and eradicating the crimes studied.
