Abstract

Beyond the adjectivation of the legal formalism that the reform of President AMLO warns about, regarding indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples, from September 2024, in this study, I delve into the socio-political context in which this constitutional transformation of article two took place, in which two aspects are highlighted: the first corresponds to a qualitatively differentiated social paradigm from the neoliberal model, and secondly, an approach from the critical discourse that differently guides the rights of the indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples and communities of Mexico.
