40 años de reformas en el Poder Judicial de la Federación
Abstract
The federal judiciary in Mexico underwent a profound transformation from the late 20th century onward, bringing it closer to constitutional justice, which gained prominence at the beginning of the 21st century with the emergence of constitutional courts in Europe. In Latin America, similar bodies to constitutional courts began to be established in the mid-1940s, gradually raising the profile of constitutional protection. However, in Mexico, this did not begin to take hold until 1987, when constitutional reforms began to equip the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation with a constitutional court. This was decisively achieved with the 1994 reform and continued to be consolidated through subsequent amendments.Additional Files
