Abstract

This paper examines the origins and institutional development of the National Transparency Institute of Mexico, Access to Information and Data Protection (INAI), as well as the potential consequences of its dissolution for the protection of the universal human right to access public information framed in the context of a great democratic and modern State. The analysis emphasizes transparency and accountability in the fight against corruption. It concludes with a critical evaluation of the role of the civil society in strengthening accountability mechanisms
