Aproximaciones a la legislación y regulación ferroviarias en México en los albores del siglo XXI

Abstract

The economic activity of railways, as set out in the Mexican constitution, has undergone recent changes to introduce another mode of transportation that benefits the public. Although the constitutional regime is clear in its normative terms, the legislative regime and regulatory arrangements require publicity to inform about the legal changes reflected in different norms. For this reason, this article reports on the legal regime and regulations issued by various entities because of constitutional changes in Mexico within the period 2023-2025, that include the resurgence of passenger railway transport services.
